Chugai Pharma Europe Ltd is a subsidiary of a worldwide company with offices in Paris, Frankfurt, London and Japan. As a pharmaceutical company, precision and project planning are important considerations. They wanted a time and attendance system that would allow them to comply to Working Time Directive and also wanted employees to be able to monitor their own time keeping and introduce flexitime. Chugai has over 4500 employees based in Japanese HO and 65 in the London office. Chugai has developed major drugs useful in the fight against cancer, in the maintenance of a healthy balance in bone metabolism, and in the amelioration of pathological events associated with cardio- and cerebro- vascular disorders.
They did not have a computerised time and attendance system in place and capturing employee time, shifts and attendance was a tedious and time-consuming process.
